Topic: IT Enterprise multilayer modelling based on ArchiMate language
Abstract: The work presents a holistic approach of enterprise architecture development for IT companies. An Enterprise Architecture (EA) can be regarded as a model describing the way in which an organization achieves its current and future business objectives, using IT. For an enterprise, it is important that, by applying enterprise architecture, it will align its business and IT and thus become as competitive as needed.
This problem is especially visible at a Software Development Enterprise, which is very specific because of its strong emphasis on IT systems. In the proposed solutions, the following core EA governance activities in IT companies are distinguished: Governance strategy; Enterprise architecture landscape modelling; Next generation enterprise landscape evolving; Enterprise architecture modelling; Architecture evaluation and architecture decisions; Architect competency development and assessment.
The proposed solutions uses ArchiMate which offers an integrated architectural approach that describes and visualizes the different architecture domains and their underlying relations and dependencies.
