Topic: Time-spatial Population Mobility Retrieval in Location and Operational Data of Public Cellular Network

Abstract: The keynote will provide an insight into the methodology which enables to determine transport performance based on localisation and traffic data from mobile networks and presented results are achieved within recently completed research project. The promoter and the guarantor of the research need was the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and the Czech Railways was the special guarantor. The output of the applied research comprises the design of the framework system for sharing information about passenger movements in public transport. The objective was to define an efficient use of mobile networks to determine the number of passengers assigned to a particular vehicle at a particular time in a particular point on a given route and the keynote will describe achieved results.

Key Speaker: Miroslav VOZNAK (V©B-Technical University of Ostrava, IEEE Senior Member, Czech Republic)

Miroslav VOZNAK obtained his PhD. in Telecommunications engineering in 2002 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava.
